This course is designed for beginners at the A1 level and must be taken in conjunction with the "German as a Foreign Language A1" course. You will expand your basic vocabulary, practice simple workplace communication scenarios, and learn to understand and describe technical topics in German.

The focus is on topics such as:

- Professions and job roles
- Workplaces and companies
- Tools, equipment, and materials
- Simple technical processes
- Numbers, measurements, and safety
- Short conversations in everyday work situations

The course provides you with practical, basic knowledge and helps you gradually find your way in German-speaking technical and professional contexts.

- Carry out simple commands.

- Name colors and shapes.
- Describe objects using simple adjectives.

- Understand simple work steps.
- Give brief instructions.
- Name, point out, and ask about parts of simple technical objects.
- Understand important warning words.
- Match safety signs to their meanings.
- Formulate simple rules.

Voraussetzungen

Participation in the "Deutsch als Fremdsprache A1" course.
This course is primarily intended for students enrolled in master’s degree programs in Rüsselsheim. If the maximum class size is not reached, other international students may also enroll in the course.

Foreign language examination

Anwesenheitsregeln

Attendance is mandatory for this course. The attendance requirement is 80
%. If your attendance falls below this level, you will not be admitted to the examination.
